Lol! I hear this from my penang friends as well.

i think lotala maklandla is abit of a tongue twister as well.

The funniest one i heard 'elio kowlan'

Anyway practicing the use of scientific names improves everybody's vocab and memory.

Good job Dom on figuring this mystery out. Anyway, maybe we should work on a pronunciation guide for the scientific names of aquatic plants.


As a start, how about something simple: riccia fluitans. Any takers?

Should be Ri-cia flu-i-tans... If pronounce as Li-cia....sound like china ah pek talking in english. The R is important.
