Best snail terminator is Tiger Banded Loach.

Hi, to my opinion, don't ever put puffer in the tank...once it eat all snails, the fishes & shrimps are the next victim, don't ever do it.

Normally I did the old method, use a long air hose(the type for air pump use) and a container, suck the water out with the hose and then put near to the snail, automatically sucking it out to the container. Do it one by one, it is very simple, and fast can see less snail in your aquarium.

Keep some snails in your aquarium to clean up the algae, not necessary to clear all.

Loach like to dig. If your tank having foreground plants and not yet fully grown. It is not advisable to introduce it in.

Mini puffer is a meat eater. Once your tank clear of snail. Feed it with blood worm.

Default Puffer's

Hehe... they whack any fish tail unless its a cichlid/luohan! I have had quite a few fishes with fins whacked and some swallowed whole if they can fit the puffer's mouth.

I've learnt to live with snails! Even MTS.

Pygmy puffers are great for a minimum 3 ft tank for ridding of small ramshorn and apple snails. Any tank smaller and you'd probably would not want to miss feeding it with bloodworms as Dom said.
