Hi..just like to know whether any of you guys run your planted tank
under wet dry filter?I m planning to setup a new 4ftx2ftx2ft tank, currently
still deciding whether to go with Eheim Can. filter, or wet dry filter??
Any advice greatly appreciated!! Thanks...

my understanding is that wet/dry filters are not ideal for heavily planted tanks as the trickle system oxygenates the water and releases carbon dioxide, something the dedicated plant enthusiasts adds into the tank for lush aquatic plant growth.

So if you're going to add CO2 into the tank, a wet/dry filter would be counter productive... just like adding an airstone to a CO2 tank.

There's a store call 88 Marine. Think it is in Pandan Indah...correct me if I am wrong, KLites. They have them in 1.5 - 2l sizes.

Thanks for the info!!
Fyi, I ve bought a new 10kg Alum. C02 cylinder from MOX, cost about RM400 (+gas).
88 quoted me RM300 for a 3.2 Kg Steel C02 tank.
Advice for folks planning to setup pressurised Co2 system, make sure to
look for C02 regulator with gauges..never buy those with flow meter
(a plastic tube with a ball indicator, very fragile). I lost 6kg of Co2 in just 4 days due to a slight crack on the flow meter ..cost me RM30+ to refill!!!
