Those circled red are not aquatic plants. You might as well remove them and plant it in your garden. HTH

Thanks for comments & noting....

I got those plants from East Aqua Ikano (the 3 you circle on the right) and 88 Marine (small one that looks alike nana). Those plants looks fresh and nice, that is why i got them and Man.. those lfs can still tell you that it is water plants..damn

You are quite right about my aquascaping.first attempt..too systematic...will probably need to do some replanting...

so when you think I should put in the fishes... my water seem to be still quite green..too much nutrients ? I have also just put -in my air pump during the nite time so that I get some bubble going when the light & Co2 are off.

Stan,

If i am not mistaken, those circled by you are Hygrophila species which are still in emersed form. Don't forget EA and 88 got their plants from Ah Keong....

Most of the Hygrophila species are aquatic plants.

Nope, guarantee you that one is not aquatic. If fact our municipal like to use it sometimes. Keep an eye out for some hedges when you are out about some nicely planted roundabout.

Hi,

If not mistaken, the plant circled on the bottom left is emersed Lobelia Cardinalis. The other three circled plant on the right is a marginal plant (bog plant) which have their roots and lowest stalks wet most of the time, their leaves and flowers are held above the water. I think it is Alternanthera Bettzickiana 'Green’ (see here here and here and here), PlantGeek website said it is non aquatic. I have bought and tried to plant this plant a long time ago, it melted away afer 2 months...hehehehe...

Oh yeah, I have seen the plant list from the plant supplier of EA, 88..not sure if his name is Ah Keong because I call him 'tauke' hehehe...(a nice guy, saw the farm visit pictures from the MAC forum), his plant list is a complete list with plant code, plant scientific names, only that when he delivers his plants to the shop, he is using the plant code only, the shop don't even bother to get the actual plant names from him...not willing to take one step further to label the plant with the correct names so that at the same time educating the customers about plants and its names...woaaaa sorry..it is 2.45 am..

Regards

Perhaps you have to make a trip to Irene Aquarium. They are keeping it months and it is growing. As i was told it is non aquatic as well. But have to see from your real eyes.

Nasfish,

You r right about the 3 circled plants on the right, looks like if it is going to melt... i would have to take it out then...

As for the bottom left, it is Not emersed Lobelia Cardinalis. I have looked at it more carefully and it look more like large Nana type. But still not sure about the name.

Is the Irene Aquarium close by to Sea Park, the road is sloping ?

When are you guys going for another visit to the planted farms, sounds interesting. It will be nice if someone can organise a trip there again. I will sure go.

Anyone has any thoughts on my tank...still looking green. what should I do ?
