yr DIY CO2 pressure is not strong enough to "push" and go out the reactor. Try to get 1 way valve connect between the DIY CO2 hose and reactor.

how u make yr CO2? in how many liter of bottle?

exampl for 1.5L of bottle, you need at least 8 table spoon of sugar, 1 tea spoon of yeast and 1/2 tea spoon of soda powder. Melt the sugar with warm water...then yeast n soda... shake it. yeast will be more active in warm water. (not hot or cold water. Hot water will kill the yeast)

soda powder is to increase the speed to get the mixture done. Once the CO2 coming out..it will be very strong for 1st 2 days...then it will getting slower on 4-5 days.

u can get 1 way valve in any lfs. just tell them the connector which can connect to the hose(the hose which is we using for air pump). and the connector only 1 way in and 1 way out...

i use 1.5 litre coca-cola bottle,1/4 teaspoon yeast and 1/4 teaspoon soda powder + 2 cupful sugar.i pour the sugar m soda powder into the bottle using funnel which filled with warm water m shake it until most of the sugar dissolved.then i add 1/4 teaspoon yeast into it without shake it.

the 1 way valve has a switch that u can control the amount of gas that flow out through airstone while using it in air pump.
am i right??????

no no, a check valve is not the 'thing' to control how much air flow. A check valve is to allow the gas to flow in one direction onli. this is to prevent presure from the reactorto 'push' the co2 gas back to the bottle. im using a DIY cos system too, i find the standard 1.5l bottle is a bit insufficient. im using the 5l bottlem, u know those mega big mineral water bottle? those are 5l. if ur using 1.5l bottle, i suggest u connect 2 bottles together to get the extra presure to 'push' the gas into the reactor.

bbtw, u can get a check valve in any lfs store, it's quite common now. go n check some of the lfs, im sure they have it. the last time i saw was onli 2 to 4 bucks. And SHAKE the bottle after u add in the yeast! and also shake the bottle gently everyday to make the yeast last longer, they will produce more co2 this way.

And make sure there is no leakage in ur system bcoz the preesure generated by the yeast is quite powerful, if there's is a leak in ur connecter or anywhere, the whole thing will be useless.

actually i never use any soda. yeast and sugar works fike for me. i usually use 6 big spoon of sugar n one small spoon of yeast. the more sugar the better and one small teaspoon of yeast is sufficient already. fill the bottle up with 4l of water.

i was using 5l bottle last time also. I used half kg of sugar, 1 big soup spoon of yeast and 1/3 tea spoon of soda powder. It worked for 8-10 days.

you can prevent the mixture goes into the tank by connect the CO2 bottle to another bottle with 2/3 water acting as burble counter. The water level must be higher then the hose from CO2 bottle. So that, you can see the CO2 burble coming out from the hose. And another hose from the burble counter to the reactor/refusser just like the hose connected to the cap of CO2 bottle.
