Arrow aggressive silver arowana

i have a 20cm silver aro in a 4x2x2 his tank mates are 13cm silver dollars,7cm albino shark,6cm red tail shark, large angels & 8cm tiger oscars,i have never had a problem with aro being aggressive..
now i decided to sell angels, oscars, sharks,

so now i have with my 20cm silver aro 2x13cm silver dollars,2x8cm archer fish my silver aro has become extremely aggressive & will attack anything in the tank...
i am thinking maybe i should put my 2 tiger oscars back in tank as they showed slightly more domination when they were with silver aro.
any sugestions would be appreciated

Default seperation

im not sure wot the usual behavior of the silver are usualy like . the jardini is allways agresive with no chance of mixing ...however i have found that seperation within the tank is often a good start to break the dominant territorial behavior .. by useing a perspex devider with small holes in it to alow flow throuhg of water isolate him and he wont be dominating your tank leave him there for a weak then remove devider.. if he continues being nasty pasty then return him to isolation fo2 weeks ond so on . this process works on MANEY diferent fish that arent usually over agresive .. ps use clear p[erspex .... good luck shane

Thumbs up silver arowana

ok problem solved
my silver arowana just doesnt like competing for food,as a surface dweller obviously he is king of the tank,so when i put the 2 archers in (well) the archers were invading his territory as the archers are surface dwellers too, both archers & arowana were competing for food at first..

they have settled although my silver arowana wont allow archers to the surface,,i think in time they will adjust.
when aro is full he will move away & allow archers to feed.

cheers
chris!!

hey chris if you use a piece of pipe you can bypass the aro to the lower fish in your tank

Thumbs up silver arow

hey shane good idea mate.

all is well and aro is actually swimming mid to surface, instead of always being on the surface.
archers have a little branch they hide under every time arow is on the prowl
i will just have to get larger archers!!!!

cheers
chris
