Default green aro and 1.5 red aro in one tank

Guys, need some advise I have 7" 1.5 red aro and 6" green aro. Can I put them in 4X2X2ft tank with 2 red kelah about 4"? Is this a good idea or I'm looking for trouble. TQ

All the fish you mentioned are potentially sizeable fish. To keep all 4 in a 4'x2'x2' tank is not a good idea in the long run. Perhaps for now it may be o.k, until they outgrow the tank (in about 10 to 12 months time).

Tancho, thks for the advice. The 2 aros are not getting along well as one of them is injured. Now planning 2 separate them into 2 tanks. I checked all over in Puchong and PJ. Any tanks that is bigger than 4X1.5X1.5ft is very very expensive.

Hi guys,
Thought of getting a stackable rack and 4X1.5X1.5ft 2 units which might cost me only RM 250(just the metal stand and tanks with 6mm) plus transportation. I want to separate my aros. What you all think? Everyone tells me to get 4X2X2ft tank at least for 1 aro.

I think u can get by with the 4x1.5x1.5 tank. It's a little tight at the turn, but if we don't tell the fish, he wouldn't know, would he?

Bro if u serious on keeping the two aros.. you might wan to consider this..

double metal stand for 4 lenght by 2 width.. and two aquarium for each aro
you might wan to check out the price by "setapak aquarium"

my situation also same like urs..

have 1 greenie and 1 indo gold.. try to put them together with 2 lampam ... ended up injuring both aros.. if your budget have constraint.. do like what i did..

get one aquarium 4 by 2 first together with the stand for 1 of the aro.. and maybe 2 or 3 months down the road get another one.. coz the present one can still be use..

i got mine from setapak aquarium as well.. but u might wan to consider increase the base to at least 8mm coz of the weight..

my pov.. if u have the aquarium made into 2ft width by 4ft lenght.. u can keep the fish until it grow old and died.. rather than wasting money on 1.5ft width later again have to change..
