Hi aro kakis,
Need your advise & views on this.
I recently booked a young red aro (about 7 inches), and only just noticed one of its scale is partially damaged

. According to the dealer, it could be caused by a previous parasite attack. He said the damaged scale is unlikely to regenerate, unless the whole scale is removed for a new scale to grow.
I'm not worried about removing the scale, as I'm pretty sure a new scale will soon replace the one removed. What worries me is the history of the fish. Having been sick before (at this young age), it may have a negative impact on its potential. Although it is a very nice fish, I'm seriously thinking of changing my booking to another fish.
