SOS - not eating, drop scales and turn upside down

I bought a 6 months arowana 2 years ago and it's 18" long now. My problem starts 3 months back when the fish don't want to eat at all. I was told that this is a norm for arowana and some even don't eat for 6 months.

My worry started 3 days ago when the scales started to drop with red spot and just today, the fish turn upside down. Can someone please tell me what happen to my fish???
