arowana's scales and what kind of arowana is this

can anybody tell me if arowana grow new scales or do their scales grow, and i have a arowana with a silver belly and head but a green back and dot on the head with a snake tail. is this a green or silver arowana

Yes, arowana will grow back new scales. Even the whole caudal or dorsal fins can regrow. There are experts that intentionally cut off the fins to regrow the fins into fanciful patterns like bettas. But you better not try it at home

can you show us a picture of the arowana because it is difficult to tell from your explaination.
