Unhappy Latest "Affordable" Arowana Market Price

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a new and "affordable" arowana. I wish to share some of the information I have collected during my visits to some of the LFS in PJ, Subang Jaya, Kepong, Shah Alarm and Old Klang Road area, the following is the latest "affordable" arowana display price I have found:

PJ:
1.5 Red Tail Aro 10"-12": RM598
Yellow Tail Aro 4"-6": RM198 - Rm220
Green Aro: Not Found
Pearl Aro 6"-10": RM 55 - RM168

Subang Jaya:
1.5 Red Tail Aro 10"-12": Not Found
Yellow Tail Aro 6" with Cert: RM250
Green Aro: Not Found
Pearl Aro 6"-10": RM Not Found

Old Klang Road:
1.5 Red Tail Aro 10"-12": Not Found
Yellow Tail Aro 6"-12" : RM250 - Rm398
Green Aro: Not Found
Pearl Aro 6"-10": RM75

Kepong
1.5 Red Tail Aro 10"-12": Not Found
Yellow Tail Aro 6" : RM200
Green Aro: Not Found
Pearl Aro 6"-8": RM55

Shah Alam
1.5 Red Tail Aro 10"-12": Cannot remember, sorry...
Yellow Tail Aro 6" : Not Found
Green Aro 6": Rm255
Pearl Aro 6"-8": RM68

Are they reasonable priced?
Any other places can get cheaper?
Is Yellow Tail Aro better than Green Aro?
Is it worth it to pay more for bigger aro like 10"-12" compared to smaller aro like 6"-8"?
Anyone staying in this area wish to go "aro shopping" with me?

try jalan pasar, pudu...last 2 weeks i hv seen many nice aros there and the price is very affordable, obviously those r not 1.5, yt or green, the lfs said is indonesia red, if i am not mistaken they are banjar red...but with very nice shine of the body scales and with red tail plus fin...rm400-rm600, depends on ur bargain technic plus the aro size....
