Hiya... our arowana's tail looks a bit eaten (the fish shop said it was coz of bugs in the water) and recommended he trim the tail so it could grow again... and said if we didnt, the tail would continue to split until it gets to looking scraggy.

BUt can't imagine trimming the tail - scared it would hurt our fish - have you advice on this to share? thanks so much !

Well, if you put a bit of salt into the tank-- one teaspoon for five gallons, it should help the fin heal right up.
