either ick or velvet. if you're a local just put a medication called 'nika' general aid into the tank. and it'll be fine. increase the temp to around 28-29 for 2 days and make sure dont turn on the lights.. or you'll get a devastated tank like mine last time. well some of the upside down catfishes din survive as they are scales fishes. the others were ok.. might save u some casualties.

May be is parasite. Try to get the anti-parasite medicine from the local fish store. Btw, pls take a pic of yr betta to show us. Picture tell everything.

Yes picture tells everything. I think whitespot more likely. If you betta has spots on its body like it has roll over some salt/has salt on his body most likely its whitespot.

Velvet is spots too but in orange/light brown colour. The fish will get infected easily under stress with whitespot and especially high daily temperature fluctuation. The worst I've experience not with fish but myself is in Melbourne. Day time 22-24 C night-time <4 C. 20 degress difference!!! I was worrying about my fish but when I came to my senses it's back home

Does NY has this kind of whether?? If you have probably need to get a heater or something. But then again I'm assuming and suggesting too much.

hi apple, did you purchase the fish from the same fish shop where you bought your 1st betta ?? or do you think it got infected by other fish from your 10 gal tank?

apple, pls go n do some research or read the articles about the betta n how to keep a betta before you go n get one. I believe the water parameter went wrong at yr place. PH, Chlorine or Copper is the main issue.

And most of my fishes was died due to my house area implemented with few giant size of copper pipes. And the water contained the copper which not really harm to human being. But it is harm to fishes.
