Question Sick betta

Hi,

My betta is currently suffering from a disease called droopsy. The abdominal part of the fish is swollen with scale protuding out from the swollen area. I have gotten some information on how to treat the fish by using Epsom salt and tetracyline. I have checked with the my local fish shop but they had no idea of the medication that I am seeking. Can anyone pls tell me if there is any alternative way of obtaining these supplies.
I have also read some comments that the disease is incurable and that some web sites recommend destroying the fish before infecting other bettas. Any comments ?

Thanks in advance.

Epsom salt can buy from pharmacy. If you come from Penang, you can get the tetracyline from me. Or you can use other LFS antibiotic to replace the tetracyline.

Dropsy happens and heals at random, so some fish recover and some don't. Depends on their immune system. Like I had a betta two years ago, it took three months for its fin rot to go away, then suddenly the rot came back and after only two days the fish took flight to heaven.

All the best dude.
