Yes, it seems to be working. I got a bubblenest too!
* The complete tank ![]() * Le Feu and his bubblenest (is it normal for him to clamp up his top fin like that?) ![]() ...BUT I think I'm super paranoid regarding my fish coz I've been staring at his fins and I can't help but think that he's got mild fin rot. (I could be wrong though.) His top fin looks a little frayed at the end...dunno if it's supposed to be like that. Here's a bigger shot of Le Feu (what do you think?): Click here to see pic (it's too big) |

Not really normal if fins are clamped for extended periods.... If resting, they do clamp their fins for short periods.....
Hmm... Doesn't seem to have fin rot.... If fin rot, the fins will be literally falling apart..... The area of fin rot will be gravely discolored.... Reddish edges.... But pale in comparison to surrounding tissue.... |

Those are the normal ones you're talking about.... The plakats and VTs are more resistant to diseases.... HMs and the likes tend to be more susceptible to diseases such as fin rot due to the thinner membrane of their tails.... Also due to too much inbreeding.... Genetics are somewhat weaker.... CTs on the other hand are more susceptible to belly sliding disease, and ray thinning.....
Medicine ah.... As other said la... But do be careful of drug interaction... Can be lethal..... Last edited by joeybugg : 01-06-2006 at 09:24 PM. |

haih.. thinner membrane lead to fin rot.. now my double bcom single tail.. being eaten more than half lol.. now in recoverin process.. next time should observe the fin.. get the thicker membrane rather than the thin one.
i plan to breed the double tail one on next week after my test.. the tail is not recover yet.. will it effect the baby if i use him to breed.. ? |

seems like ur tank water very clean... did you put any salt and ketapang leave inside the tank? this combination is important for betta health... for optimum condition, water in the guppy tank need to have water change twice a week... during the water change, u gotta add in aqua salt and a bit of ketapang leave have fun in keeping betta Shawn |
