Should be ok.... Let them adapt to the environment first la.... Can't expect them to hit it off in such alien environment ma....

Colour not the cause.... Environment is....

Usually, if you want fish to hit it off, separate fish first. Normally this builds up to a lonely fish that will appreciate some company after a while. Condition them for breeding by feeding well with good live foods, then put them together, they should start showing interest in each other fairly soon. This is how I get my pencilfish to get it on recently. In the main tank, the male just flair at the females but don't do anything bout it, but once in the breeding tank together, they spawned on the first night.

Yep... As soyadude said, feeding the pair live food will increase their mood for breeding.... A play on fish psychology... lot's of live food, means more food for the resulting fries....

Hmmm... I never put any air stone until they are at least 3 weeks old.... Too much water movement will cause the fries to become dizzy and die... Even when 3 weeks old, i only use very gentle aeration.... So DON'T PUT ANY AIR PUMP just yet....

hmmm... egg yolk i don't like to use... used only once.... but feed them once they swim horizontally... Remember to mash the yolk finely, add water so it become like liquid feed...
