Default Will goldfish hurt betta?

I was wondering if my fantail goldfish and a betta would make pals or enimies?

No, GF don't eat other fish.
I used to keep 10 balloon-mollies with my GF.
The thing is that the guppies can't the medication i put in for the GF.
Not sure about betta, but i suggest you separate it during medication of your Gf tank.
Betta can live in a glass provided you do waterchange once a week. Remember to cover the top, betta can jump.
What kind of betta you r keeping? HM?
Any photo of your set up?

No way!!!
They need different temperatures, and bettas are agressive, they would rip a goldfishes fins apart. I have seen people keeping them together and some have been succesful, so the chances of it working out ok arent high.

Bettas cannot live in a cup! They need at least 1 gallon of water.

btw, goldfish need at least 10-20 gallons each, so your tank is too small.

I suppose you could try but I REALLY would not do that if I were you. First of all, bettas and goldfish need different water temperatures, plus, the betta would probably chase the goldfish around and even nip at it's fins. Also...5 gallons is too small to house both a goldfish AND a betta. So if I were you, I'd keep them separate. =)
