No way!!!
They need different temperatures, and bettas are agressive, they would rip a goldfishes fins apart. I have seen people keeping them together and some have been succesful, so the chances of it working out ok arent high. Bettas cannot live in a cup! They need at least 1 gallon of water. btw, goldfish need at least 10-20 gallons each, so your tank is too small. |

I suppose you could try but I REALLY would not do that if I were you. First of all, bettas and goldfish need different water temperatures, plus, the betta would probably chase the goldfish around and even nip at it's fins. Also...5 gallons is too small to house both a goldfish AND a betta. So if I were you, I'd keep them separate. =)
