i've read in thailand fighting fish website,he using banana leaf to recover back,or heal the injured fighter fish (plakat) or to make the scale of the fish tougher. Using the dry one, soak it in the water like u using the ketapang leaves method. i think its good for the plakat thou but if using for the Hm,the water might burn out the soft fins of the fish. coz,i've been using banana leaf before.

Wow... Din realize it can be for plakat.... so we are suppose to dry it first before soaking it in water...how many pieces to a liter??

by the way what is HM??

Sorry for asking ignorant question but me so new in this banana business...

The only time I come across pisang daun is either nasi kandar or ikan bakar...

u can get the dry one at the tree, lots of the dry/dead leaf around the tree. or u can let the leaf dry to brown colour.Just use with ur own judgment, let the water turn to dark tea colour.

HM is halfmoon long fin one.
