Hie alex,
nice breed (although i know nothing of betta, i still can tell that they are beautiful).

I just have 2 question here. I found my betta (a cap palang one) is constantly blowing bubble nets... but... no females, so i'm planning to get him a mate. But where to get, and how to choose? you're sucesful in doin' this can you share?

As far as i understand (from old folks), we differentiate male and female by the colour; male with bright colour, female is pale and almost colourless. But i can see your female is almost as bright as a male... and she's pretty! So if it's not the colour... how should we know it's a he or she? can you advice? thanks

Again, nice job! cheers!

Look for the female's eggsack...a mature female should have a round tummy where the eggsack is full of eggs...then look for the vertical stripes display on my females...when they're are full of eggs their vertical stripe is displayed when they flare. You also look at the finnage and some say the head of a female looks a bit sharper compared to a male.

I've an upcoming spawn with pretty good hmpk and i'll post some pictures when i've taken them.
