L046 can get but pay Euro.... Not quite red aro price, but atm, too high lah.... Half price of good red small red aro... LOL!

L236 can get but expect to pay about USD400/pc (OUCH!)

Aim a bit lowere lah...

L287 Hypancistrus sp "King zebras" more affordable lah. I had these recently, not L236

But boy, if ever. POKAI LA LIKE THIS!

Least I know now. Thanks Joe, Kev.

Warm regards,
Karen.

ps. Stan, if you ever get to breeding them, discount for me k?

Karen,
L168 coming in shortly.... These look STUNNING when they are finally comfortable in your tank. (Look horrid when they're stressed/not happy) These are also much more affordable at about $40 for a 6cm+ fish.

If you like stripey pretty pleco type fishies.... I highly recommend L168. They also do a GREAT JOB cleaning algae off the glass.

First pleco Stan's going to be breeding are some albino bristlenose ('cos they're easy)... LOL!!! Some call them cute, other ppl think their "beard" is ugly.

They'll clean ur algae (L16 as well as your plants if they get hungry

Albino BNs are so not my stuff...But there are nicer variants that are hard to find...

Dear All,

I've got one I don't know if its L190 or L191.
Can you tell me how to differentiate?

Cheers!

BT Lee

Kev,
I really like stripes! And the L168 is gorgeous. Of course, not as pretty as the L236 and L46. The L173 is my ultimate dream stripey pleco type fish. XD

But I don't think I'm ready to keep fish like that. I'm really new to fishkeeping; I'm here to learn. I'd really like to see them upclose though!

Newbie,
Karen.

BT,
L190 and L191 are easy to tell apart.

L191 is dull eye, broken squiggly line. The lines tend to break up towards the tail end. As juveniles the grey is very dark.

L190 is pin-striped (straight line)

My guess is your fish is an L191 as both AI and Xian Leng have been bringing in quite a few L191 of late. Not many L190 available of late.

Yup. Also another thing easier to see is that the L191 has broader stripes compared to the L190. L190 stripes are brighter too. L191 has a cuter body shape heheh

Post a pic so we can help you confirm...

Oh yar BTW...didn't tell you that this baby can get quite big...hehehe if 30cm is considered small to you then its ok...
