Default New here.. fish question...

Hi everyone. I've been reading this board and I decided to register. This board has a lot of great information here! Hopefully some of you guys will be able to help me confirm what these fish are. LFS said they were freshwater rays. The pattern looks like a ray pattern in the top picture.

Thanks for any info you guys may have.
Merry Christmas to everyone!

Chinese hillstream loach aka Borneo sucker is what u have... Gastromyzon sp.

COMPLETELY unrelated to stingrays in anyway.

This fish always mistaken by most people as freshwater ray, even LFS!
Actually they are hillstream loach from family Balitoridae . THe first pic is Chinese hillstream loach (Beaufortia kweichowensis ). Second pic not sure!
In the wild, hillstream loach live among the rocks in fast flowing stream. So, good water movement along with hiding and resting places created with plants, rocks, and driftwood in will be appreciated. They are omnivorous, but they prefer graze on algae!

This hillstream loach shouldn't be Gastromyzon sp. cause Gastromyzon sp. have wider mouth!http://www.loaches.com/species_pages...ocephalus.html
