Default panda corys

I bought half a dozen of panda corys lately. After quarantine for 2 days, i decided to transfer them into the community tank with the gups. Then i notice that they keep dashing up to the surface for air. Initially i thought it kinda cute. But now i'm worry that it may not be normal.
Can anyone tell me whether this is a common cory's behaviour?

It is normal. They do that initially, but after a while they don't do it so often anymore once they settle down. Unless you're feeding them thing that float

thanks dude...yep, notice they have more or less settle down now. but perhaps a little too 'settled' for comfort..now they are just piling up resting at the bottom, unlike yesterday where they were wiggling and 'sniffing' at all corners. hope they are getting along fine with the gups too. my red eye gup was seen attacking their fins last nite, hopefully its not hostile.

The cory looks a bit pale and little emaciated. Typical condition from LFS though. Colours will darken in time with right conditions. Cories are really strange creatures, sometimes they are so peppy and full of vitality and sometimes they just laze around in group. Very hard to predict or read their behaviour. I still haven't figured out my 20 corydoras habrosus. They're just like that. They dissapear at times. But I know at feeding times... they're always out and about. Pandas are one of the smaller cories and don't keep well with larger fish like cichlids but the common small livebearers should be fine. I haven't come across a crazy aggressive guppy though .

Somehow mine looked kinda sickly and pale. My gups are friendlier to them nowadays, but most of time they just stay still at the bottom. I feed them Hikari sinking wafers, is that sufficient?
