Default spotted pictus help

my spotted pictus cat is in a 29 gal tank with a green terror, tiger oscar, and a pleco. it only comes out at night, and in the day it zips from hiding to hiding spot. i just got the fish three days ago, is this normal.

it's normal becoz pictus like most other catfish is nocturnal. my synodontis used to be active and feed only at night. enough hiding places given, it shouldn't be a problem. good luck!

IMHO feeding fish at night is a convenience..unless you work shifts but yes, it is recommended to feed nocturnal fish in the evening or at night becoz at this time of the day their metabolism is highest. if you put in food during the day, it will eat but not much, and the water will dirty very fast. my two cents. all my catfishes and plecos feed in the evening. i don't feed them during the day although my plecos will eat anyway in front of me.
