hahaha...yes im getting old. yup there lots of burundi juv , the 2 inches ones are around 180 to 200baht(rm18-20).i did mention the 4 inches ones at 800baht with a developing head. i would go for that, i dont mind the extras....since at least i could be sure what im getting. at 2 inch....well...i dont see myself going for that size. its cheap in k.lumpur huh.....but i cant explain why zaires are place along with burundis, apart from the owner told he has alot of them back in ther farms and i dont think he got the standard pricing mixed up. check some of the photos i taken last year at one of the Fs who did AC. those frontosa cost 200baht. but i wouldnt touch them even for free...they havent grown half an inch since they arrived at the shop since july last year.http://goto.jorjae.com?276883 anyway i flirted with african cichlids for a while, but stop after sometime, guess they couldnt seduce me like the viejas did. besides its hard to find AC that havent been feed with hormones in thailand. i really hate it , when that beautiful malawi turn pale after 2 weeks. they even have this peacock that is in red chili colour...hahahaha...what will they think up next?

wow..the burundi juv look ok in the ur photo gallery..

so far i know the burundi is one the slowest grow rate frontosa...Mpimbwe the fastest.

well, now i can guess what u r expecting for AC, try some german import AC, very good quality with NO HORMONE feeded....u can enjoy the stage of the fish from pale till color up nicely.

aiya peng yew... thats not my fish la. it belongs to a friend of mine who owns a FS. the amount of hormones he feeds to his fish will put ben johnson to shame. those are junkie fish...no different from the jaga kereta brothers at chow kit. but from what i know he didnt feed his frontosa with hormones, since juv fishes are expected to be less attractive. if fact i went to the fish market this morning just to get an update on the frontosa. ok ...they have plenty of zaire now...and man ...its very very very expensive. a small kici fish no more than 2 inch is about rm100. burundis...wah lau a....something like buy two free one. the size u saw in photo is about rm12. el cheapo. i was very very tempted to get the some , somehow i gave it a skip since i dont think i wanna keep a fish which sells at borong price and every wattana, somchai and virayut are buying it. mass production! ...hahaha. german fish? well, i dont know really.... but if u finally realise how cheap AF actually are....u would somehow wouldnt mind the hormones. a pack of 25 , 3 inch mbuna cost at rm 18. less than one ringgit per fish.... truly at factory outlet price.

wow..the zaire price is so attractive..
i remember last time i bought 5 pcs f1 zaire, size 1 inches, cost me rm900....lost all of them when the only powerhead in the tank burnt...

but what heard is some ppl mix male zaire with female burundi, so that the spawn volume is great, after that they pic only those fries with blue triangle mask and sell it as f1 zaire.

that fish looks like a synspilus...maybe photo abit blur la...but thats the fish u got from nicholas(mybirdshit) then it is a bifa...judging from the male fish. anyway 2 days ago i got a Belize wild caught synspilus from a breeder friend. he was shock( i wasnt coz i expect wild fishes would be like that) at the very bad condition when those fishes arrived. so i took one just it case his stock dont survive.(photos will be out in a few days. )well, its going to be tough, bringing that fish to a presentable condition.lots of body injuries, ragged fins and heavy breathing. hope it doesnt die...coz i really want to see it turn on its rainbow to compare the difference between farm breed , malaysian wild caught and central american wild caught fishes. btw ...siamese tiger are delicious with soy sauce , chili padi and garlic.....in thailand anyway.
