I didnt get the chance to go to AI due to time constrain but I did managed to bring back 8 V. Synspillum and 3 H. Argentea

End of the year I'm planning to set up a Frontosa community tank, will be getting them from Cichlid Forever in Singapore

What sort of Frontosa? The common Burundi 6bar? Or something more exotic? Recently someone in Queensland, Australia paid A$1K for a 4inch Frontosa 'Blue Zaire'! Of course Frontosas are illegal species here in Aust (like so many other fish), but I doubt the blue zaire or the 7bar frontosas would be very much cheaper in Malaysia or S'pore either.

Btw, while u're looking into the availability of Lake Tanganyikan cichlids in Malaysia/S'pore, could I find out the availability of Altolamprologus calvus 'White calvus Kapemba'? Are they available? I've seen the Black calvus around in M'sia but never the white morph.

I'm also currently facinated by the Cyathopharynx furcifer and foai. What's the availability status in Malaysia and S'pore again?

Geez, now if ppl in Malaysia would get some exposure and actually see one of these furcifers (aka featherfins), they'd dump the flowerhorn and start keeping some of these REAL cichlids.

This is but one of the many colour morphs of C.furcifer
http://www.cichlidlovers.com/

I believe the one in the picture is C.furcifer "Magara" or "Kigoma", one of the most commonly found in the aquarium.

Another picture of a C.foai:

Above web site is a picture of Cyathopharynx foai "Karilani Copper".

These fish get to about 6inches.... and they're not some man-made hybrid fish. These are REAL cichlids found in lake Tanganyika.

Oh and this is a picture of White Calvus.
http://www.irmascichlids.250x.com/A.calvuswhite.jpg

This is a picture of the commonly available black Altolamprologus calvus:

I have 12 young black calvus here in Sydney. An adult breeding pair of calvus is worth about $600 here in Sydney... They take about 2-3years to mature and grow painfully slowly.

I think black calvus in Malaysia are worth something like RM60 for a 1inch fish... so they're not cheap either.

There is new cichlid shop in Sunwaymas Commercial Centre called Cichlid Connections...like EA and CF they import wild-caught Fronts and other rare cichlids. I just went there and got 4 Vieja argentea bred by Jeff Rapp in US...go have a look...I also saw compressiceps and other tangayikans and malawis there...they just opened not too long...
