Erm...what happened to your scally friends in the terraium ?

Anyway...ask CC show u the order list la...u can pick from the range available.
Mbunas will also be kinda fun. As i remember, CC's list do consist of a few impressive variants...saulosi is cool. Demasoni is cool and for a tank that size...i bet they won't be fighting much.

Haps are fun...but u will need open spaces for them to cruise around. Sometimes tend to be aggresive.
Mbunas are colony fishes, so u can mix and match the colors and with tonnes of rock work, it can be a very colorful view...lesser gore. Plus no need to clean the algae growing on the rocks...they eat them or scrape it off.

Enjoy...

shame to tell....my 2 little fellas died coz of can't digest faster than what they eaten.

mbuna, i kept and bred them before. still like the haps which hv the fierce look. I hv a 4inch+ bristlenose which i can throw it inside to clean part of the algae.

Hi Dom! Welcome back to the Malawi community! :P

Malawi Big Haps?
- Do consider the Fossochromis Rostratus - it's a one-of-a-kind Hap with patterns you don't see in any other Hap. Apparently grows to about 12+ inches in capitivity.
- The Champsochromis caeruleus (Malawi Trout) is also another neat looking fish, but it apparently can grow pretty big in captivity (15+ inches).
- Nimbochromis-types have never been my cup-of-tea, but probably you might like them. 10+ inches in captivity.
- Cyrtocara moorii (Malawi Dolphin). Nice hump. Peaceful. Pretty big at 10+ inches.

If you want more fish in that 6-footer, you'll have to go for Medium-sized Haps. Some genus you can look for:
- Copadichromis (relatively peaceful)
- Lethrinops (pretty rare in KL)
- Otopharynx (relatively peaceful)
- Placidochromis electra / phenoticulus
- Protomelas (Red Empress, other types/variants)
- Electric Blue Hap (very common)

Aulonocara are Peacocks and are peaceful so watch who are their tank-mates. Beautiful colours, but the females are very drab. Again, lots of choices but few are available in M'sia.

P.S. I thought you were selling your tank?

wow...the haps you mentioned are kinda huge. yes. I am asking joe to work on it for me. May be able to get the stock after chinese new year only.

hard to sell of the tank. All the stingy fellas in here can't effort to buy. I met the most terrible fella in here. He offering me RM250 for the 6ft tank. I told him...RM250...you can't even get a 1ft tank with cabinet n cover. And he keep begging me for that. And i almost fainted.

If the tank sold, i will get another 4x2x2ft tank for haps...

I still have some Haps (F1) & Mbuna (F1), but I can't confirm how many. Lemme do a 'stock take' over the weekend.

Um, if you're going to downsize to 4x2x2, suggest you go for the medium-sized haps. Or, you can have a species tank 1m5f Fossochromis Rostratus.

RM250 for a 6-footer with cabinet is CRAZY. I wouldn't even dare to make such an offer (makes me look so cheap-scate!). At least la RM1k then can talk. (Hehe, I wish to get another tank, but my other half 'discourage' me from doing so).
