Hahahaha!!! Funny you all asked.... Rusty Wessel is a very famous collector of cichlids. He's very popular in the US giving talks in the A.C.A (American Cichlid Association) nearly every year. There's a fish named after him ....... Theraps Wesseli. If any of you is ever into reading good featured articles of cichlids, www.cichlidae.com is one of the best sites ever. Site owner Juan Michel Artigas is a very respected authority on cichlids of Mexico. Ad Konings the father and legend of Cichlids have some articles withiin there too.

Hey guys saw about 8 pieces of Blue Dempsey at AI. Price RM90/pc about 2" size.
I know AI fishes are not the top of quality so just letting our friend know. I'm not a supporter of AI but what to do some things just have to get from there once a while......

Will confirm that the "Brown cichlid" at Ikano Pet Safari is indeed the Rusty cichlid I.sprengerae. I was there yesterday......
They're not related to tropheus. Come from a different lake altogether!! Rusties come from Lake malawi, Tropheus from Tanganyika.

Planted tank + BD
I know some US hobbyist actually having BD in planted tanks. But they will probably need much more space than I do. My 4ft planted tank is fully operational. And the plants and fish is 'thriving'. Only a bit tired of doing water changes and trimming of rapid growing plants. My 2nd planted 4 ft tank is in bad shape. So I guess I will have to get my 3 ft tank ready (non-planted) for the BD. Ready for a shocking experience, but CC can keep fish for 1 week for me or not? Hoping that the 2nd planted tank matures well enough so that it can take the BDs. So far so good,... the baby carps are not dead!
