Previously I only had 2 blood parrots, they're kinda lonely and kept on hanging in one corner of the tank. So after that, I decided to get another 7 parrots. But these 7 parrrots were of smaller size. They got along well...but still kinda shy. Later I decided to get them tank mates. I find rosy barb to be good tank mate.
I find that parrots may exhibit some mild aggression towards their own when they are the only species in the tank but when I added in the rosy barb, the aggression goes to the minimal...and they're less shy now.
Personally, I don't see any harm in adding another parrot into your existing tank. But if you're planning on adding just one, then try to get one with approximately the same size. Good luck and keep us updated!
