Again u r wrong dude...... b4 the Luohan......... there were heaps of Synspillum, Carpintes, Black Belts, Salvinis, Bifacs, Guttullatus and Trimacs but now every strain have been contaminated 'coz they thought they would make more money when the demand was for Mutts..... So a pure strain now is like a needle in a haystack. It has caused a backlash into many Central American species 'coz of the resemblance. Fishes with big nuchal humps have always been there since the beginning of time just that all the hype and crap con jobs have taken the people back for fear they are being duped.

Actually there are more ppl into cichlids, but quite a number are 'not active' and hence, not in the forums.

Remember, it is still a hobby so a lot of ppl are taking it for what it is: a hobby to do in their spare time.

It would be great if somebody can actually gather everyone's info & create a database ... BD, if you don't mind?

Check out 'sifus' like Dom & CC, who have lots of contacts on ppl still into cichlids. Haha, just make sure you're not opening a fish shop or else, CC might just begin to avoid you.

Some notable absentees in this list so far: Colim, KBChew, Terrence (another nick maybe?), Dom (just got some Malawi Trouts).

Default Not into LFS lah

Ehh...just a hobbyist. Maybe if some other overseas sifus are coming this way for a holiday we will get them to give a small talk. Hehe.... as you know Malaysia is still one of the safest places on earth for a holiday!

Ok lah, I volunteer to compile & update an Excel spreadsheet of this.

Can somebody pm me contacts so I can "compile" this database? Would serve as a great 'reference list' in future.

Hehe, the things I do for this hobby.
