my male kenyi has white stuff around his mouth. he is not eating and he is acting sickly. what should i do!?

is it white cottony stuff??? if so, then it's most likely a fungus infection. It is advisable to treat it immediately since the infection is near it's mouth. That will deter the fish from eating and it may die of starvation.

As for the right kind of medication, you can consult your LFS on that. Just remember, do not simply mix the medication, it can turn out to be a toxic mixture for your fish.

Most likely some sort of fungus. U'll need to get some fungus cure (blue colour liquid.... mythelene blue).

Also for your Ps. Lombardoi "kenyi", make sure ur water pH is above 7. 7.4-7.8pH is ideal for the kenyi.

They're stroppy little fish so either pack them in very very tightly (ie many many fish) or put one male to about 5-6females in the same tank. If u put 2 males in the same tank, u're likely to get one dead. Males are yellow, females are blue.

Thanx for the info! it was a fungus and i treated him right away, he is now doing fine!
