4 feet tank wif water is 1 tonnne?? ..is it really that heavy???i tot it's around half of that only....cos 1 tonnes equals 1000kg....means my tank stand is gonna give way..b cos there is water n gravel in it....but it has lasted for years already...i cant see that it's a tonne in weight..

almost equal to a weight of kancil. is kancil weight 1 ton? i was told the standard 4ft tank with water only weight few hundred kg.

A 4'x2'x2' tank holds around 430 litre which is 430kg. Sand and stone does not add on to the weight cause they will displace the water. U add the weight of the tank and X 2 for 2 tier than it's around 900kg.

Agree on the above, but here's a correction & another point to note:

-> Sand & stone will displace water, but they are (usually) of a higher density so they will add to the total weight of the setup.

-> Glass used for the tank is another consideration. 4'x2'x2' of 6mm glass should be around 100 lb (approx 45kg), give or take 20 lb (9kg).
