Hehe... nice fish when they are juvenile. Look very interesting in a school. When they are larger they are reputable to be nasty. I think they can be nasty but the pair I inherited from fancyguppy is very well behaved. They have taken over the Cichlid tank as the others are afraid.

If you look at the 2nd photo, you'll notice the light blue streak along the edged of the dorsal, tail and ventral fins. And the mouth is also light blue. Hehe... they look better than their reputation. At 6" they are quite huge and stout, and I suppose as compared with the other fish they have minute sharp teeth like Luohan.

Ehh.... these Buttikoferi's chew everything. Even the moss on the stones I got from Dom's. But I tell you, the Buccochromis were the same before the Buttikoferis came.

Plants are healthy coz the dont end up fighting so much and they can have their aggression at the plants. If the leaves goes, I just plant others. Besides they could benefit from some O2.

if come from kl...the first red light left turn to taman desa ...rite?
theres a lake...with a restaurant....if u go there, u will find plenty of Buttikoferi la...Kau Kan Fei Chow.
nice light action on WT4 flyrod...use size10 epoxy minnows on a weighted tippet, let it sink deep....it never fails!

THey are happier? DUnno-lah. But they take over the best 'rooms' in the tank in the rocks. Start to eat but they love to play with gravel. I have to clean my filter more frequently already.
