Nice tank EzieG. My kind of setup.

Love the Taiwan Red - beautiful fish.
(And glad the Otopharynx lithobates "Zimbawe Rocks" is doing nicely in your tank)

On the deformed fish - haha, I have deformed fry too. I had a deformed Red Empress (who has since died - alpha male got too excited and whacked him up real good), and I still have a deformed Mloto male (showing colours too!).

How are the Mloto doing?

thanks for ur compliments, John...

yups, u are right, TR is one of the nicest malawi cichlids...

the female of Oto had died a month ago , now left 1 male and 1 female...

My Mloto are doing fine, the alpha male's color is showing soon and i keep them in 5 footer too with all the giants with no problems...
