Well the sand look same as the 'pembangunan' site sand as I used it b4.Never try the beach sand.The problem that I hv with tiny sand is that I frequently change my power head because the sand go thru the magnet.Later the power head stop working.
Do u hv this problem?.

huh? u use that roadside sand ah...thats why your fis die lar...helo taikor, tat type of sand have lime, quatz and other deposits lar...thats why 10kg bag is only rm4, and somemore hav to wash like hell before can use....

dun tell me u are using overhead box filter, then why your powerhead is in the tank? you are cichlid king mah, u should know better than to use luo han fis box filter.
i use slump filter system ...meaning the sand must go thru 2 layers of cotton pad, 1 dry filter media, and 2 wet medias before they can reach the pump, sort like a million to 1 chance for the pump to stop working bcos of fine sand.
