List your ..Favourite

what are your favourite cichlids?...why?...list them out and see if they could be found here in malaysia, or try ways to get them.

i take the first shot.

for me its gonna be
1)Synspilus...an old time favourite of mine. this was the fish that got me started "seriously" back in the 80s. now days its very diffcult to get a good speciment, no thanks to too much inbreeding and cross breeding. its about time someone import some new blood and inject interest in this truly beautiful fish.

2) Neolamprologus Brichardi...i was never a african cichlid fan, simply coz my interest is not there...but brichardis will always be my favorite. its not the beauty but the way they behave. they are highly arrgesive and its common for a 2inch brichardis to take on a much larger cichild. they must be kept in groups of 8 to 10 on their own to see their interesting behaviour. during breeding they will take turns to care for the spawns and proctect juvniles no matter to which fish the juvniles belongs to. truly a fantastic fish to keep


3) top of my wanted list.....herichthys pearsi

If u want Synspilum,try Eric Aquarium at Section 8.
He hv some babies for sale.
He outcrossed the fish by using his fish with Aquatics Synspilum last year.Very nice fish.
He even bred the Choclate cichlid that u want from me last time.

which Eric u are toking about brader...the roti man or panjang eric? ok i go see , better be sure wat u toking about ah brader, petrol money from cheras to section 8 mahal tau.
Choclate i have liao...a breeding pair, ppl foc give 1 lar.
i long time neber go old town liao...maybe these few days go there jalan jalan, go tok kok with ah lek and ah loy

Brichardi is easy to find, can try in pudu pasar, price also ok lar ...rm4 +-
sex is hard to tell apart, so its best to get several.if keep properly, guarantee within 2 months got plenty of babies

Ur old buddy Aquarium shop near Section 8 police station.Last time is ur meeting point when cichlid sell like hot cakes.

oh tat eric ah, ok i know where liao, helo brader that was almost 15 years liao loh, so memory not so good lar, see face then know lar , malaysian wat ,yesterday name is john, today change to wilson, tomorrow change again to michael. so abit confuss lar when chinese ppl use englist name.

your working place izzit the old ah loy FS oppsite market? i know liao lar, Mr Tang?..izzit the same one last time work for KW?
