Anemones are 99% water!!! They can easily inflate up and deflate anytime. Perhaps a photo will help here.

Default Ya They Grow!!!

I purchased what was supposed to be a sabae anenome from my lsf and put it in a 29 gallon aquarium. At the time of purchase it was between the size of a baseball and soft ball. Within 6 months it grew to be dinner plate size and it started to outgrow my 29 gal. It did prompt me to expand to a 75 gal tank.
