Question Anemones and lights

Hi there,

I was wondering that is my 15 watts blue and white fluorecent lights will be sufficient to have an anemone?? Need advice.. thank you!!

I dont think anemone is particular about lightings. correct me if im wrong but anemone is not corals but invertebrate that do not need lights to make food. right?

most anemones do have high lightings requirements.

Anemones are one of the most highly light demanding inverts in the ocean!!

Almost all anemones require intense metal halide lighting. There are a a few exceptions, like the buble tip anemone, which can survive under PC's. Keep in mind that all anemones require pristine water conditions being that they constantly exchange water between their tissues.

18 watts of light really wont cut it under any circumstances. Sorry to be the earer of bad news.
