Hi, I just joined the forum today. I am originally from Muar, Johor and have since settled down in Singapore.

I am into keeping discus recently. Presently have a few leopard snakes, red white, blue diamond, San Merah, Golden Pigeon snakes, and a heckel turqoil. I keep the fish in 3 bare tanks and make 80% water change almost daily. Daily diets for my discus are beefheart, frozen bloodworm, and tetra bits.

Discus keeping is getting bigger in Singapore, as some of the breeders here frequently won international awards. With the lou han craze dying, discus keeping is gaining momentum here.

Does anyone of you know where to get Red Melon & other quality discus in Malaysia? I am fairly familiar with KL as I used to work there. Was staying in Section 17 then. Fish shops in Muar do not carry many discus

Hope to learn more from you all.

Hi Discusian

I'm from Penang and it seems that I can get any type of discus here direct from breeders. I'm sure that currrently many aquarium shops does not carry many discus. Even if they do, they quality is appalling. Its so difficult to find good grade discus nowadays.
I would actually recommend that you try to source direct from breeders. U get to choose the best. Its like paying a Grade B price for a Grade A show quality discus..
