Dear Stan,

May I suggest that you be in charge of updating the Catalog which is a sticky.
And like what Whoopee did to the Discus TT, we will have another thread call "suggestion to Catalog" whereby all forumers can add their suggestion and input.
But the Catalog proper will be maintained by you as your pet project so that it wouldn't get messy.
Same with Discus Breeder Directory.
Someone who is keen can take the initiative to maintain a Directory which is a sticky and any input from other forumers will be in another corresponding thread call "Directory update".
Only my suggestion lah......

Cheers!

BT Lee

Thumbs up

Hey Stan,

Good idea to have this "Discus Catalog"...it can serve as a good guideline for newbies and a useful reference especially for those that intend to participate in our monthly Discus Beauty Contest!

Cheers!

From there, it is hoped the history and development of each strain/variant can be posted as well.

all discus gurus and sifus are welcome to post here...

the pictures and info will be collected and then reposted in a sticky with the admin's help...

hey fishism,

that's a great idea and intention is there.
can be more ambitious later to get the family tree going but must start somewhere.
As it is there's too many fancy names up but no picture to support and cannot find the fish in market also no use.
only make hobbyist more frust.
that's why i only put up common names.
Can you imagine finding 'midnight pearl pigeon'?
[singapore fireworks can still find but need permission from creator to use...]

as it is the plan is to use pictures posted in monthly contest as a guide to the names and acronyms we commonly use.
