Hi Stan,

You should not mix pro-more and pro-growth together.

Pro-growth is for growing thus those proteins and vitamins needed for that purpose tend to cloud your water. That is why pro-growth recommended usage/ ratio is very much lesser than pro-more.

Ha!ha!ha!...Simon Pak (Singapore Breeder) too was crazy over the effect of pro-more.........went to his hatchery yesterday......shown me a group of 10cm (mouth to end of tail, very young and small) discus displaying courtship and are very horny after taking pro-more supplement. He told me those discus are about 8 months old.

Good?????

Take care and see you,
Andrew

Default Pro More and Pro Grow

Andrew,

Just as well U clarify the above subject now.

Somewhere along the line, i have somehow earlier got the impression that they can be used together in the BH blend. Now Iwill have to prepare seperate blends for adults and Juvs...

Proabably as a result of ur pro more, I have one pair of BD which is about 8-9 months old spawned resulting in some 120 pcs of healthy fries. they are now about 5 weeks old and fast growing.

May I take this opportunity to wish u and ur wife a happy and prosperous CNY.

Hi Wong,

Some of the ingredients in Pro-more is also in Pro-growth but of different proportion.....therefore it is not necessary to mix them together.

Wong, that is why I am trying to recommend Aro-more to the arowana industry. It should work as well after modifying the ingredients as arowana requests different needs.

Also you will be surprised to find that one day, the same pair that have been giving you 100+ eggs may suddenly produce 400 to 500 eggs...and with 90 plus success rate...he!he!he!..even young discus.

Take care and Happy Chinese New year to you and your family.....and to all the members here.

Celebrating part of my New year in KL this year....and asking Uncle lim for Ang Pow...

Take care,
Andrew

You are not ready or your discus are not ready, Stan?

Do you know that by using Pro-more 10 times the recommended dosage, it can fend off and also eliminate virus (without using vaccine) like iridovirus?

But of course, then again, the cost is expensive....

Ciao!
Andrew

Dear Andrew,

Long time no hear from you.
Thanks for another update on use of Pro-more and Pro-growth.
I was using your recommended portion of Pro-growth in my beef-heart meal for my discus ( young and juvenile ) and I later added 5 times normal portion of pro-more to the mixture as you had earlier advised that pro-more has the equivelent effect of BV exterminator.
With your latest information, I am wondering if the comination of Pro-more and Pro-growth is necessary if I am intending to give the young discus maximum growth potential plus trying to enhance their immunity against diseases.
Your further advise apprecaited.
I was wondering if some of us in KL could meet you on the 6th. evening for a simple dinner/drinks - just talking discus.
Please let us/Stan knows how to firm up this arrangement.

Cheers & Happy New Year!

BT Lee

Hi Lee,

for young discus, there is no need to add more pro-more into pro-growth though it is acceptable. This will only make young discus more horny.

But remember not to increase the dose of pro-growth because the essential proteins for growth in the pro-growth will foul and makes the water cloudy.

To eliminate virus like iridovirus, 5 times should be fairly acceptable...but I also recommend a dose of 8 to 10 times to ensure its effectiveness. Best to use together with garlic. Anyway, even a dosage of 20 times will not harm your discus even for long term...

Sure, I would love to meet up and talk about discus..of course...what else?
I will be staying in the same hotel. Stan should know. It is called 'Ancasa Hotel' or former Impiano in China town....booked by the travel agent.

Take care and see you,
Happy Chinese New Year
Andrew
