Wei wei wei, enough lah no more 'ah chee ah chor'.
Our group's identity is jus "Discus Xiao Kaki" DXK. I thought we settle that months ago at the Tai Mah TT. Too bad we do not keep minutes of our TT. But again, gentleman lah, don't need to have everything black and white. Hey, the last two posting by Leong is very interesting. Looks like he reads every alphabet in the message. Interesting to note that by accident and coincident we have used 3 languages and dialect in the name. I suppose its how we Malaysian speak. As to the grammar ( if there is of any use here ) I think we should stick to it. Just natural Malaysian style........ Hmmm, like I said if we let Stan, Tan and Whoopee work together on it, they may be able to sell this brand. So, should we register this trade mark first? Cheers! BT Lee |

Enough talk. This is my logo suggestion. Very simple. About 4" (10 cm.) tall. Left chest only. Back is clear. Collared mesh shirt with 3 buttons. Short sleeves with sleeves about an inch longer than normal like a golf shirt (so we can use it for golf
The first one is khaki colored shirt (for the Kakis - hehe) The second one is a navy colored shirt DXK sounds and looks very catchy. Like the X-games. You are going to catch people looking at your chest wondering what DXK means and you can say, "Why are you looking at my boob?" If you are going to make suggestions, why not post your logo suggestions too and have it up for a poll? |

the logo very catchy, suggest to change the color of the wording to red, more patriotic and striking hehe,
just wondering how much would this type of shirt cost

Haha..Yoda...nice effort and for walking the talk!
My opinion on your design; 1) Like the shape and design of the "discus" being generic and simple; 2) Like the size and positions where you suggested for the logo of the "DXK and discus" on the front left side of the chest; 3) However, i think on the right sleeve, we should just stick to the words "DXK" and not the full "Discus Xiao Kaki" as these words might look too lengthy for the shoulder, IMHO; Oh yeah, the "DXK" words in RED as suggested by "cacated" above...oops.., i mean "repusez", is nice and more striking too. 4) On the other hand, instead of having a clear back, I was thinking to put the "Discus Xiao Kaki" words on the upper back of the shirt....the words should not be too big in size though. 5) As for the colour, i like the khaki colour base too (yeah, in line for being a "kaki" hehe!), but if so, don't you think we should choose a more contrasting colour for the outline/lining of the "discus" to make it look more outstanding? The current orangy discus lining may not stand out with the khaki background. Any other suggestions on this? 6) Perhaps we should have "banded sleeves" (we have to pick a colour that matches the khaki colour base too), instead of loose sleeves. 7) Hmm...with the longer sleeves, hope we won't sweat too much here! Sorry, i ain't graphics designer, so i can only contribute my ideas/comments in words. Hope you can visualize what i meant above. Is it possible for some siao kakis here to visualize these designs on an actual T-shirt design and then post them up here for visual comparison? Yeah, please come forward with some more ideas/designs, if any, before we start a poll to finalize it. We should have the design and shirts made before the fish expo later this year at Aquaria man! Since there's so much interest in creating a t/sirt for the saio kakis here, here's my 2 cents worth on the production of them:
1) if the design incorporates a photo of any Discus - you'll need transfers, can't silk screen and it costs a bit more but definitely nicer. Design it on the computer and burn a CD, sent it to shop and produce in minutes. Color will fade after sometime. In order to prevent that from happening, you'll need to turn the t/shirt inside out when washing, drying and ironing. To keep the colors vibrant; use wax paper and iron onto the transfer/design. 2) If it's just solid colored b/ground and line art (shape of Discus) - silk screening is possible and cheaper, depending on how many colors in the design, as each color needs individual screen. |
