APR 2006 : The Best Discus Gallery Contest
Dear All Discus Enthusiasts,
Unbelievable, this is going to be the 7th edition of our discus contest and the theme for this month is BACK TO BASIC. We would like to invite members to post up their precious discus pictures of TURQUIOSE strain, such as Classic turq., CheckerBoard turq., Mosaic turq., Tiger turq., or any discus that display turquoise characteristic .. This month's "THE BEST DISCUS GALLERY CONTEST" shall start from today - until 30-4-2006. Date to Vote = 1/5/2006-25/5/2006 Prize Giving ceremony thereafter, end of May 2006 (to be confirmed later) (PRIZES) Champion: - 1x DSM II Book (sponsor by DSM) - 1x DSM I Book (donate by Stan) - Nutrafin AquaPlus 250 ml – sponsor by Pilik-Palak/Leong - 1x Chlorine Tester - 1x Discus Catalogue poster by AquaCare http://www.aquacare.com.my 1st Runner-up: - 1x DSM II Book (from Mysterious Donor) - Nutrafin AquaPlus 250 ml – sponsor by Pilik-Palak/Leong - 1x Chlorine Tester - 1x Discus Catalogue poster by AquaCare http://www.aquacare.com.my 2nd Runner-up: - 1x TetraBits 93g (Tetra) - Sponsor by Pilik-Palak/Leong; - 1x AquaSafe 100 ml (Tetra) (contribute by ghkiat) - 1x Chlorine Tester - 1x Discus Catalogue poster by AquaCare http://www.aquacare.com.my Note = all prizes subject to change. (RULES) a) Each Member can post a MAX of 2 Pictures of DIFFERENT Discus for prizes. Up to 2 pictures of the SAME discus from different angles/sides are allowed, but only the picture of the same discus with the highest vote count will be taken into vote counting. b) Picture File Name should follow nickname with number like "ghkiat1" and "ghkiat2", especially when you are submitting 2 different discus. c) Any member of myfishforum can vote and pick their winner(s). d) The post of the type or strain of discus picture must follow the THEME of the month or risk being disqualified. e) The discus and picture(s) must belong to you [if taken by friend-use with permission of]. f) Discus to be photographed in profile [from the side] to provide maximum view or don't wonder why you don't get any votes in the poll. g) Winner(s) from the Klang Valley area should come to collect the prizes personally on the designated Prize Presentation date. (Judging Criteria Guidelines) 1) Comply with theme of contest for that particular month. 2) Quality of fish-shape, health, pattern/colour. 3) Quality of photograph, properly exposed, sharp, composition. 4) The "WoW" factor Winners will be decided by members of myfishforum during the polling period as mentioned above. Prizes or awards are to be collected by Winners during the proposed Prize Giving Ceremony. However, for outstation/overseas Winner(s), the organiser will make arrangement to send the Prizes/Awards to the designated address given by the Winner(s). We look forward to seeing more support and participations from fellow members again especially the newbies this month! Please start posting your discus pictures in this thread NOW! I think BT will not chicken-out this contest, otherwise he would really deserve the BS-King title! BT, pls correct me if i'm wrong!
 As for Maxguy, i'm sure he would keep his promise....hehehe...besides just rating this thread 5 stars again!....that's his specialty! Please keep the pictures coming again man!

the 9 bar, 14 bar.... bla bla bla ... my fish pic/fish quality not good one.... but join for fun... since for now, this is the only group i can join... other fishes, cannot already......

Aiyah...we siao kakis here have always joined the contest for fun anyways! So just post up the pictures!
 Side tips for Ming chai: since you hv a few pieces of them...just reserve one or two pieces to go for next contest like Heckels or Wild categories lor....of course i would expect you to have stocked up more discus strains by then liao also!

like that ah...
eh... let me win in this months contest.... and when i got the tetrabits, i will get more fish... since now house got no discus... getting the tetrabits/book will drive me into buying more fish... so that tetrabits wont just sit inside the cabinet.... book would be my "sangkut source" ok or not this plan......kekeke im so in love with viet.Ss anyway hor, i only like leopard,snake and few others... dont like albino, spotted, eruption, melon .. and bla bla bla... (but i love MELONS if u know what i mean... kekeke....) you guys might be thinking... spotted and leopard also same what... Haha..that's easy...just ask the other contestants (and their precious) if they want the tetrabits and books too! Who knows, you might get lucky!
