Bro,

I would be failing in my duty if I did not discourage you from doing so. This species feeds exclusively on aplysilid sponges. And unless you have a source of this sponge, you might as well pass on it, cos it will die without its natural food source. BUt before it dies, it usually lays an egg mass which will hatch into babies. But they too will die for the same reason.

YOu should always stick to organisms or inverts where feeding is not a major consideration for your enjoyment and the organism's well being.

i haven't bought the nudibranches yet altho there's still quite a handful available in the LFS. we're still contemplating after being told about the sponges as well. different LFS owners tells different story.. some say they survive on algae or whatever we feed the fishes.. some mentioned about the sponges, which is also available at high price.

see how lah... very tempted.... saw one bright shocking purple nudibranch, damn cute! arrrggghhh....

erhhm...btw, i'm no bro to u, i'm sis! haha

hiya sis

Finally we get a lady in here

Well basically most LFSs sell stuff that are sellable. And nudis being nudis, they look darned attractive which tends to fool most customers. These guys should be left on the reefs, where scuba divers can enjoy them to their fullest. Please do consider some other form of invert, like sea cucumbers, even sea urchins, snails, shrimps, etc. Nudis should be the last thing you should buy just for the sake of their colours.

Colorz, nudi is tough cookie. I kept 2 type before (dunno the name), yellow nudi and white(black stripe) nudi. Damn..after purchasing them only to find out that some nudis need to dine on SPONGES! man...where to get one when they were starving to death!
Oh, my nudis laid eggs before they "gone with the pumps" and then my cleaner cleaned everything!
