Default Anyone done a convert before?

I read that we can convert some freshwater fishes to saltwater fishes. Anyone done it before? I was thinking of converting some longkang fishes so that I can have them breed and feed my marinetank.

Only brackish water fishes may be converted successfully to a full marine environment and even then, not all species can do so. Scats and monos are the best suited.

I don't see what's the point in acclimatizing freswater or brackish water fishes for a marine system except for food purposes.

One of the great enjoyments of keeping a marine tank is to see the incredible beauty and colours of marine fishes of which there are no duplicates amongst the FW and BW fishes (duller colours).

I heard from the several fish shop that you can convert salt water fish into fresh water but never heard the fresh water fish to salt water

they say it takes very long time to adjust
slowly reduce the salt level bit by bit

but I never try it myself
