wat material is my tank made out of
I have a 55 gallon tank that my dad gave me. I dunno if it is acrilic or plastic. The reason i wanna know is because there are some scratches on it that i want to polish out. If someone can tell me how to distinguish between the two it will help me buy the right polishing kit.
Do you guys think if i used 2000 grit (autozone sandpapaer) mother's and meguiar's plastic polish to polish it out, would work? thx Last edited by dinney : 29-09-2006 at 06:05 AM.

Use fingers to tap on surface
Bro, tap the surface of the tank. Acrylic plastic produces an artificial and hollow sound. Glass tank has a nice 'ting ting' sound to it. Hope it helps!
