Default Beginner, need advice.

I got 3 feet tank, which I plan to go into marine fish. What do I need?

I being on planted tank (fresh water) and snail (fresh water). So it is ok for have it side by side with marine tank?

I m staying at flat, normal temp will be around 29'c.

Basically I have being asking around, and some lfs told me that I need salt, sand, live rock, pump, protein skimmer and filter system. And I plan to have marine plant, i need lower temp. It is true? Do I really need chiller? Its very expensive, I try to keep the cost low.

Do I need cover for the tank, because I have electronic device around. Some ppl told me marine tank could course electical item to spoil and event metal stuff.

yes,u will need all that. chiller wud depends.bear in mind,in reef tank more lights and pumps are used, generating more heat. if you can keep the temp to below 30C by using fans u will be fine. however be mindful of evaporation.

and yes, evaporation from the tank may spoil yr electronic devices but guess that wud oso hold true for FW..

really depends on what type of corals u intend to keep. do some read up on their various requirements. lps ans sps do have different requirements in terms of lights and flows.

if you opt to keep sps,mh wud be the best option, though high quality T5HO will suffice if yr tank is not more than 2' in height.

for lps,T5HO will do. so do some reading and come back with a stock list before deciding what lights to have. for the temp if u can maintain it in the 27C -29C range,u will be fine. with mh,u may require a chiller.
