fire goby is a shy fish. always love to hide between the rock. It the fish is being chased or scared by someone, high posibility of jumping suicide is there.

I have 2 fire gobies. It's shy fish, easy to take care of. So far they behave well and shown no sign of jumping out of my tank.

Normally when fish jump out from the water it means the water param is not good. It is trying to escape from the suffering. Fish shouldn't feel hyper if the water condition is friendly and healthy for them.
