Wah, can y tell us where are the 10 LFS you have visited? What do y feel about FS Shop? Big?

I will try to do the LFS report part by part... bear in mind that since this is posted in GF forum, attention is given to the GF stock

1. Family Pet at Taman Megah
- very large and very comfy
- very well stocked with tropical fish but marinefish,arowana,goldfish stock is getting less and less.
- quite pricey
- stocked stuffs with branded names (eheim,serra,hagen,AA,etc)
- fish stock very healthy since i never seen them medicate any display tanks

Overall : very good

2. Pet Safari in Ikano 3rd floor
- This is the largest LFS u can find
- same remarks as no 1 with a bit better goldfish stock

Overall: very good

3. Family Pet in One Utama New Wing LG
- same remarks as no 1
- some fish tanks are cloudy ....maintenance not as good as no 1 i guess.
- Again, goldfish stock is getting less and less

Overall : quite good

4. LFS in One Utama Jusco LG Eneos
- same remarks as no 1
- Not many fish stock compared to no 1,2,3
- some fish tanks are medicated
- not much goldfish stock

Overall : OK

4. Yee Fatt Aquarium(Paramount Garden, PJ)
- small size LFS
- adequately stocked
- didnt see any medicated tanks.. good fish quality
- sell non branded and branded stuffs
- typical small LFS
- good prices
- can ask for discounts

Overall : OK

5. LFS in PJ SS2 near the pasar/Maybank in Paramount Garden (cant remember the name)
- big LFS
- stock with lots of tropical fishes, goldfish, carp,arowanas
- some tanks are medicated
- Good stock of GF - sell non branded and branded stuffs
- can ask for discount

Overall : good

6. LFS in PJ old town near old pasar (more to KFC)
- big LFS
- stock with lots of tropical fishes, goldfish, carp,arowanas
- some tanks are medicated
- Good stock of GF
- sell non branded and branded stuffs
- LFS may look shabby, but this is an economic place to get ur supplies
- cheap and can ask for discounts

Overall : quite good

7. LFS in PJ old town directly opposite old pasar
- medium size LFS
- OK stock of GF
- sell non branded and branded stuffs
- some tanks are medicated
- cheap and can ask for discounts
- This LFS makes their own tanks!!!

Overall : Good

Oh, I dont agree to the lfs at one utama nor the one at ikano. Pet family and Pet Safari, is it?

I wandered in one day to check out their goldies; apparently they have one whole section dedicated to the fish. Their goldfish are UNHEALTHY! One tank had a couple of gf with SEVERE whitespots, i saw one with anchorworm, some tanks had fish that had their heads stuck in the filter or were just generally lethargic and unhappy. And UNMEDICATED!

the one at ikano had very unhappy fish as well. i was appalled at the state of their goldfish!

i agree..their quality is so bad..their fish is in their worst state..dunno how they maintain their fish..with dead fish sloating around..hhaii...

ya man. But i was very impressed with the goldfish shop at carrefour subang jaya. so pretty. It's located at the lowest most floor of the complex. nice!
