[Ranchu Fever]

Hi all,
I visited a fish farm in Singapore and saw a tank of 10 ranchus (6 inch) in a 25 inches deep water. I noticed all the ranchus had big round pop-out eye, proturding. I wonder is this the consequences of living in the deep water environment for long? please reply. Thanks

Water depth got nothing to do with pop eye... it is due to some other cause.

I dont think so water depth related to pop eye , maybe other fact dat coz such poping eye ..

pop eye usually occurs if the water condition is real bad. perhaps it might be the effects of internal bacteria infection.

Did you or someone pretty strip in front of the fish... this might be one cause.
Once occur, never dip in salt water cos the fish might get more seriously "salty and wet" ... just kidding

for this sorta problem... it's an indication that fish owner is getting lazy... *piak piak*

yup. it's a clear indication of the owner towards the fish. but on the other hand, if it's in the LFS.......dun get it man. survival rate...pretty slim. it's so badly man-handled til the eyes pop-ed out!!!!
