Greenwater cultivation

Its because the green algae sucks up the ammonia, but it can only do that during the day when the sunlight is out to photosynthesise. So during the night the algae doesnt feed on the ammonia so it just sit around in the water til morning.

Hi guys n gals,

I would like to know if normal white lighting bulb will do the trick in cultivating green water. Currently, I use a normal white light bulb(Philips, around 18watts i think). Does the power rating has any effect in green water cultivation? Thanks for the help.
